XPPhone: Smartphone With Windows XP As Operating System
A breakthrough has been made by In Technology, Chinese company in Guangzhou City. In Technology has built a smartphone & the operating system using Windows XP. The first smartphone with Windows XP as operating system called XPPhone, has been exhibited in the Computex Exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan.
“This products will be marketed in China about three months and then all over the world,” said Brad Wu, Vice President In Technology.
XPPhone has similar function with generally smartphone, when it it is not used, the system is operating in stand by mode. However, it will directly active when it has incoming call or SMS. The battery can survive up to 7 hours of time. However, with the bigger battery optional, XPPhone can survive up to 12 hours.
XPPhone can be said a combination between mobile phones and pocket computers. XPPhone use AMD as the main prosessor & it has been made in customized with a Super Mobile AMD. XPPhone using hard drive as internal memory with capacity 120 GigaByte.
XPPhone has slide design & QWERTY keyboard. The LCD screen has width 4.8-inch touchscreen with 800×480 pixel resolution, weight 400 grams & 2.5 centimeters thickness.
XPPhone already has WiFi connection, GPS, and an option for WiMAX. At the end of the year, In Technology will also provide a version that supports TD-SCDMA, a 3G technology developed and used its own in China.
